Last updated: 15 September 2026. Version 2.0.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones lemicrobiome.com (the “Website”) uses, why, and how you can control them.
It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data more generally.
The Website is operated by Le Microbiome MB, company code 307682631, Medeinės g. 7, Lentvaris, LT-25136 Trakų r., Lithuania, e-mail care@lemicrobiome.com.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, remember your choices and, in some cases, measure or track your activity.
First-party cookies are set by lemicrobiome.com; third-party cookies are set by other organisations whose services we use.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain for a defined period.
We use “cookies” in this Policy to include similar technologies that store or read information on your device, such as local storage, pixels (tiny images or scripts that record that a page was loaded) and device or browser fingerprinting signals. The same rules apply to all of them.
2. The legal framework and your consent
Under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive), as implemented by the Law on Electronic Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, we may store or read information on your device without your consent only where this is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested. All other cookies — in particular those used for statistics and advertising — require your prior, freely given, specific and informed consent. Where such cookies also involve the processing of personal data, the GDPR applies as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you first visit the Website, a consent banner allows you to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category.
Non-essential cookies are blocked until you make a choice, and rejecting them does not limit your ability to browse or buy.
Your choice is stored in a consent cookie on your own device and remembered for 12 months, after which we ask again. We do not keep a separate server-side log of individual visitors’ choices.
To demonstrate that consent is obtained lawfully, as the GDPR requires, we document the configuration of our consent banner, the wording and version of this Policy in force at any time, and regular tests confirming that no statistics or marketing cookies are set before consent is given.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1. Functional (strictly necessary) — always active
These cookies are required for the Website to work and cannot be switched off. They keep track of your shopping cart and session, remember the products you have recently viewed, let you log in to your account and stay logged in, remember the language and currency you selected, test whether your browser accepts cookies on the login page, protect the checkout against fraud and abuse, and store your cookie preferences.
They are set by our WordPress and WooCommerce platform, by WPML (language and currency selection), by our payment providers Paysera and Stripe during checkout (Stripe’s fraud-prevention cookie, for example, is necessary to authorise a card payment securely), and by our consent-management tool. Our page cache (LiteSpeed Cache) does not set cookies for ordinary visitors.
Legal basis: strict necessity for a service you have requested (ePrivacy Art. 5(3)); our legitimate interest in Website security (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
3.2. Statistics — only with your consent
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website: which pages are viewed, how long visits last, which links are clicked and where visitors come from. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, with IP addresses truncated and without sharing data with Google for its own purposes.
Reports are aggregated and do not identify you personally. Legal basis: your consent (ePrivacy Art. 5(3); GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
3.3. Marketing — only with your consent
These cookies and pixels are set by advertising platforms so that they can measure whether an advertisement led you to the Website and to a purchase, show you our advertisements on other websites and services, and build audiences of people with similar interests. We currently use:
- Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) — conversion tracking and remarketing. Without your consent, Google Consent Mode ensures that Google receives only aggregated, cookieless signals that cannot identify you.
- OpenAI advertising pixel (OpenAI Ireland Ltd) — measures visits and purchases resulting from advertisements shown in ChatGPT. With your consent, the pixel may also transmit a hashed (irreversibly encoded) version of the e-mail address you enter at checkout, so that a purchase can be matched to the advertisement that led to it.
Google and OpenAI act as independent controllers for the data these tools collect and may combine it with other data they hold about you. Their privacy policies are available at policies.google.com/privacy and openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Both companies have group companies in the United States; transfers there are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses (see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy).
Legal basis: your consent (ePrivacy Art. 5(3); GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
3.4. Preferences — only with your consent
Where we embed content from other services (for example a video), that service may set its own cookies.
Such content is shown only after you consent to preference cookies; until then a placeholder is displayed instead.
4. Full list of cookies
The table below is generated automatically by our consent-management tool and lists every cookie currently set by the Website, its provider, its purpose, its category and how long it remains on your device. It is updated whenever we add or remove a service.
5. How to manage or withdraw your consent
On this Website. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Manage consent” (or “Cookie settings”) in the footer of every page, or the button below. Withdrawing consent stops new cookies of that category being set; cookies already placed by third parties are deleted by those parties according to their own retention periods, or you can delete them in your browser.
In your browser. All modern browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings, and most offer a “do not track” or private-browsing mode. Instructions for the most common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
If you block functional cookies, parts of the Website — including the cart and checkout — will not work.
Opting out of advertising platforms directly. You can also control personalised advertising in your Google account at adssettings.google.com and in your ChatGPT account settings. Industry opt-out tools are available at youronlinechoices.eu.
6. Your rights
Where cookies involve personal data, you have the rights described in Section 8 of our Privacy Policy, including the right to access, erase and object, and the right to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt).
Questions about cookies may be sent to care@lemicrobiome.com.
7. Changes to this Policy
We review this Policy whenever we add or remove a cookie-setting service and at least once a year.
The date and version number at the top of the page show when it was last changed.
Where a change means new non-essential cookies, the consent banner will be shown again so that you can make a fresh choice.
